Thinking about the recent internet meme "fail whale" or "epic fail" often used on such sites as Twitter or Facebook, #artfail is an series of works that attempt to ask questions about the integrity of art, language, and communication. Each work becomes a statement about the paradoxical failure of art, a question about the value of time and efficiency, and a re-discovery - for the artist - of the objective truth about art materials.
